A Federal Judge's Tough Decision: Leaving the Bench to Lead a Campus

The life of a federal appellate-court judge definitely has its perks. But such a prominent position calls for living a life of impartiality. And for Robert Henry - a former attorney general of Oklahoma and a former state legislator who is outgoing and has a track record of being an advocate for higher education - such a lifestyle eventually became too much to endure. So Mr. Henry left behind the federal bench after a 16-year tenure to become president of Oklahoma City University, a private institution affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
