Carnegie Mellon President Cohon to step down in 2013

Carnegie Mellon University President Jared L. Cohon, whose contract is being extended by a year, said today that he will step down in 2013 after a 16-year tenure leading the private research university. He commented as trustees approved a one-year contract extension, voting at a special meeting after consulting and receiving support from the Faculty Senate's executive committee, campus officials said.
