Gordon College president plans to retire

Gordon College President R. Judson Carlberg has announced his retirement after 35 years at the school, including the last 19 at the helm. Carlberg, whose retirement is effective June 30, 2011, said in a statement he is stepping down because he and his wife are in a "season of transition." He says they plan to retire to Gloucester where they will "rest, fish and consider new opportunities."
