Duquesne University Students Unhappy with Notice on Roommates

On a university campus, there are things more compelling to read — words more likely to get a conversation going — than page upon page of policies in a residence life handbook.  But among Duquesne University dorm students, one such policy is causing a stir.  Upon their return from Christmas break, Duquesne students in double-occupancy rooms were notified that if their roommate had moved out, they must get a replacement even if it means changing rooms, or they will be charged an extra $1,500 or so to live alone at the single-room rate.
