Rebecca Bergman, president of Gustavus Adolphus College (MN); Richard Davenport, president of Minnesota State University, Mankato; and Annette Parker, president of South Central College (MN), write: Today we recognize an important event in our nation’s history, the signing of the United States Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787 in Philadelphia by delegates to the Constitutional Convention.  As presidents of three local higher education institutions — Gustavus Adolphus College, South Central College and Minnesota State University — we’ll be recognizing Constitution Day with a number of events on our campuses.
