The Department of Education has issued a notice establishing a 30-day comment period regarding an update to the universal borrower defense to repayment form.  An updated universal form is necessary due to the changes made to the current process in the borrower defense final rule released last September. This 30-day comment period will allow for feedback from the public on a list of proposed elements to be included in the revised borrower defense application.
