Headline News Service

The NAICU Headline News Service provides capsule summaries of the latest higher education news. We include a broad range of stories, but emphasize those of interest to the private college and university community. We also seek out opinion pieces, columns, and blog postings that reflect the widest spectrum of views on higher education issues, and highlight local stories with potential national implications.

The service is available, at no charge, to NAICU members, nonmembers, and others interested in tracking higher education news. The e-mail version is sent daily around mid-day Eastern time, typically seven days a week. It's also available via Twitter, Facebook, and RSS. Feeds give a capsule overview of news items, with links to the full stories.

What is RSS?

RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, brings content directly to your browser, allowing you to monitor news from multiple sources.

You can configure an RSS reader to monitor news from multiple sources in one place from your desktop or browser - you no longer have to visit multiple web sites.

How do I get started with RSS?

First you'll need to configure an RSS reader. Many browsers, including Explorer and Firefox support RSS feeds. If you have multiple feeds, you'll want to consider using a feed aggregator. Stand-alone products and browser versions are available.
