A New Tool to Compare Financial Aid Offers
April 11, 2012
A new tool, introduced on Wednesday by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, allows students to compare costs from three schools at a time. By entering only the names of the universities, students may see the estimated price of each college, the average amount of grants and scholarships students receive, the estimated debt burden and the estimated monthly student loan payments students can expect after graduation. Then by entering data from the schools' financial award letters, students will be able to have a more realistic look at their college options, financially speaking.
