Princeton, Williams, Amherst Benefit From ’Cheerier’ Markets

Rising stock and bond markets are lowering projected endowment losses at Princeton University, Williams College, Amherst College and other schools. However, the rebound won't be enough to reverse firings, construction freezes and other cost-cutting measures, college officials say.
