Upcoming International Grant Opportunity
January 24, 2012
For institutions interested in development in the Amazon, Higher Education for Development (HED), anticipates issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) later this year for several new human and institutional capacity building higher education partnerships in the Andean Amazon region.
The Initiative for Conservation in the Andean Amazon (ICAA) will build the capacity of higher education institutions in the region to support biodiversity conservation. This program is part of the larger Initiative for Conservation of the Andean Amazon, which is the flagship regional biodiversity conservation program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in South America. The timing of the RFA is still to be determined.
Updates for HED's RFAs for the West Indies, Philippines, and Tunisia, described in NAICU's December 19 Washington Update, are available on the HED website. Applications are due mid- to late-February.
Institutions may sign up to receive the latest communications from HED, including all RFA announcements as well as the bimonthly newsletter. HED is established through an agreement between US AID and the six presidential associations, including NAICU.
