Webinar on Teacher Quality Partnership Grants
March 4, 2009
The U.S. Department of Education will conduct a grant competition for the Teacher Quality Partnership Grants (Title II, Higher Education Opportunity Act) in the spring that will include up to $144 million in funds. The Teacher Quality Grant program directly supports higher-education based educator preparation programs.
The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) will be hosting a webinar on the grant competition March 19 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. EDT. The session will closely review the legislative language that will serve as the basis of the grant application so that participants become familiar with the many requirements of the grants. Presenters include Kathy Price and Richard Mellman of the U.S. Department of Education, as well as Jane West and Mary Harrill-McClellan of AACTE. Register for the webinar on the AACTE Web site.
