Early Response Initiative (ERI)
Early Response Initiative (ERI) at Gordon College targets first-year students who exhibit "at-risk" behaviors such as missing class, failing to complete assignments, poor performance on graded assignments, and general non-engagement. ERI functions as a clearinghouse for information provided by faculty and staff. Once a student is identified, the ERI seeks to gather resources and get the student connected to those most appropriate to help. This could include mentoring through the Companions for the Journey program, academic support, counseling center, or career development.
