Student Retention Plan
Faculty involved in the Student Retention Plan (SRP) at the United States Sports Academy keep contact with undergraduates and monitor their progress through the program and students' courses. Faculty help students submit work to the academy's on-line system, review course work, prepare for tests, and complete exercises to improve writing skills. A help desk offers additional support.
Funds come from the institution.
Bottom Line: Before SRP, the academy's retention rate was approximately 50 percent. The retention rate for 2008-09 topped 80 percent, just one year after SRP was launched.
