An association of colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada working to create a sustainable future.

Higher Education Associations Sustainability Consortium (HEASC)
A higher education network committed to advancing sustainability with their constituencies and within the system of higher education itself.

Second Nature
An organization working with college and university campuses across the country as they make sustainability an integral goal of learning and practice.

Sustainable Endowments Institute (SEI)
A nonprofit organization engaged in research and education to advance sustainability in campus operations and endowment practices.

Talloires Declaration
A commitment by university administrators to environmental sustainability. It consists of a 10-point plan for "incorporating sustainability and environmental literacy in teaching, research, operations and outreach at colleges and universities."

U.S. Green Building Council
A non-profit organization composed of leaders from across the building industry working to advance buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. Driving its mission to transform the built environment is the Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building certification system.
