  Hazing incidents and student deaths from excessive alcohol consumption have led numerous campuses across the country to curtail or eliminate Greek life activities.  Many are now asking is the Greek life system still relevant on campus? Can it be saved? What is the future for fraternities, sororities and other social clubs on the college campus?

9:15-10:15 a.m.   Crisis Management: Resiliency through Preparation
  There are many unforeseen challenges a university encounters, when dealing with a crisis no matter the amount of planning. Resource allocation, messaging and the ability to respond quickly and efficiently is critical. This session will provide insight into best practices using real case scenarios. Presenters will share challenges they faced, obstacles encountered and lessons learned. Case examples include a reported active shooter on campus, and the devastating effects of a natural disaster to the campus community.

  Is it accurate to conclude the public has lost faith in postsecondary education? Hear highlights of recent survey research into public perceptions of higher education in the United States, and find out how data can be collected and used to craft messages and communications strategies that achieve institutional goals.
