Making the Case for Doubling Pell
ALL BOARD AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS WELCOME
Efforts to double the Pell Grant maximum award is gaining support among policymakers including President Biden. Doubling Pell is a priority for NAICU and other higher education associations, which are in the formative stages of a national campaign to promote the idea. Our panel will discuss the strengths and challenges of the Pell Grant program, the general components of a successful advocacy and public awareness campaign, and the role of the larger advocacy community.

Virtual Reception: Writing the NAICU Anthem
ALL MEETING ATTENDEES ARE WELCOME
Join us for a memorable experience writing a song that captures the voice of private, nonprofit higher education. Led by expert Nashville-based songwriters from SongDivision, attendees will be taught the fundamentals of lyric writing before being sent to virtual breakout rooms to craft lyrics around association-specific messaging. The song will then be arranged on-the-spot by the SongDivision songwriter, and the original song will be performed live. A professional studio recording of the song along with an edited highlight video will be provided after the meeting. |
