David Rosowsky writes: Much has been written about the duality of crisis and opportunity, some dating back centuries, some shown to have been inaccurately attributed or translated, some looking forward with hope and optimism, some decidedly darker in tone. But the notion that crisis provides fertile ground for opportunities and opportunism is frequently cited in the wake of that crisis. It is a rallying call, a message of hope, and a signal that change is coming – whether needed and as yet unable to be realized, foreshadowed in advance of the crisis, or completely unforeseen.
