Dorian Wanzer

Dorian Wanzer is NAICU's Director of Communications, where she leads strategic messaging and public affairs to elevate the voice of private, nonprofit higher education. 

Before joining NAICU, Wanzer served as Advocacy Manager at International Paper, where she directed the company’s nationwide voter engagement program, reaching 30,000 employees, and oversaw communications and membership for its political action committee. Her earlier roles include leading grassroots advocacy efforts at national associations including the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). At NACHC, she expanded the Health Center Advocacy Network to over 100,000 active advocates.

Wanzer holds a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University–Newark and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Elon University, where she was recognized with the Distinguished Young Alumna Award. 

In her free time, she enjoys Reformer Pilates, thrifting, and spending time outdoors.
