U.S. Orders Grand Canyon University to Pay Record $37.7 Million Fine

The Biden administration accused Grand Canyon University of misleading doctoral students about tuition costs, imposing its first significant punishment to a college on Tuesday. The Education Department ordered the Phoenix-based Christian school to pay a fine of $37.7 million, the largest ever of its kindThe school, which has an enrollment of more than 100,000 on-campus and online, will also need to comply with a series of special disclosure requirements for the next few years.
