Round-up: Supreme Court Blocks New Biden Student Debt Plan

The U.S. Supreme Court declined to lift a lower court injunction blocking the Biden administration’s from implementing a new loan-repayment plan while it is challenged in court. Last week the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit nullified a separate appeals court decision that had allowed SAVE to move forward. On Wednesday, Justice Brett Kavanaugh declined to take up a lawsuit from seven Republican-led states challenging the plan known as Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE).

The developments have left some 8 million borrowers who applied for relief under the SAVE program in limbo.
