College Removes Dennis Hastert's Name

Indicted former House Speaker Dennis Hastert’s Illinois alma mater, Wheaton College, said Sunday that it is stripping his name from a center on economics and public policy “in light of the charges and allegations that have emerged,” the college said in a statement.Hastert was indicted last week for allegedly concealing his agreement to pay $3.5 million in hush money to a man who accused the Illinois Republican of sexual abuse during his nearly two decades as a teacher and coach.
