Hamilton College Celebrates 'Hamilton' the Musical in Dorms, Classes, Even Speeches

It's a rite of passage in a college dorm, with headphones and solitude and music. It's about that first, full listen to the one band or album that has taken hold so strongly on campus that ignoring it risks being left out of conversations or inside jokes or, now, memes.  So last fall, during Austin Ford's first semester at Hamilton College (NY), he did what so many first-year students do. He sat, alone, in his dorm room. He put on the headphones. And he listened to that great new thing — "Hamilton," an American musical.  The phenomenally successful "Hamilton" musical has reverberated through the campus of Hamilton College in a very special way.
