Justice Dept. and Wheaton College (MA) Settle Sex-Assault Case

The U.S. Department of Justice has found that Wheaton College (MA) fell short of Title IX’s requirements in its response to a report of sexual assault, the department said in a resolution agreement. The department began an investigation in August 2015 after receiving a complaint about the college’s handling of the case. The department did find that Wheaton had improved its policies since 2012 but still “fell short” of Title IX’s requirements and compliance concerns.
