Northwestern University Will Stay a Decade Longer In Qatar

Northwestern University, one of six prominent U.S. schools with branches in the Persian Gulf nation of Qatar, has reached an agreement to stay there for a second decade.  The private university based in Illinois said this week that it has signed a 10-year extension to its current agreement with a Qatar foundation that will enable the school’s Doha branch to operate through the 2027-2028 school year.
