Rhodes College Names Hass New President

After an eight-month search,  Dr. Marjorie Hass will become the 20th person -- and the first woman -- to serve as president of Rhodes College.  The private Memphis liberal arts college announced Hass' appointment with a formal introduction on campus Monday.  Hass, who has served as president of Austin College since July 2009, replaces William E. Troutt, who announced in April he would step down as the school's president in June 2017. Troutt will have served 18 years as the school's leader when he retires.
