Study: Area Private Colleges, Universities Contribute $1.2 Billion to Economy

Local private colleges and universities don't just teach students. They contribute to the local economy.  That's what the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania hoped to show with a study that found institutions of higher education had an economic impact of $17.97 billion across the state in 2014.
