U. of Puget Sound’s First African-American President Built His Career at Jesuit Institutions

"A lot of proud St. Louisans" are congratulating Isiaah Crawford on his appointment as the next president of the University of Puget Sound, come July, he says.  They are the family members and friends in the city where he was raised who have cheered him on through his becoming the first member of his family to finish college, his rise as an academic and clinical psychologist and then academic administrator, and now his appointment as the first African-American president of the small liberal-arts institution, in Tacoma, Wash.
