Association of Vermont Independent Colleges Expands Semester Exchange

When Gabriel Antonucci came to Middlebury College from Massachusetts to major in biology and environmental studies, he didn’t expect to work in the fields of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom at Sterling College.  Antonucci was able to combine these diverse learning experiences by participating in a Semester Exchange organized by the Association of Vermont Independent Colleges (AVIC). The Exchange allows students at the 14 participating private institutions to leave their home campus for a semester and experience another academic setting without paying any extra tuition.
