By Adding Sports Like Lacrosse or Wrestling, Small St. Louis Area Colleges Getting Bigger

The addition of wrestling to the menu of sports at Maryville University in 2011 occurred without fanfare but turned out to be a significant moment on the West County campus.  A Hall of Fame coach was hired. The team became the first at the university to earn a No. 1 ranking. And the program has produced two individual Division II national champions.
