Gustavus Decision Came After Consideration, Campus Visit – Opinion

Monali Bhakta, a Gustavus Adolphus College student, writes:  Throughout my high school years, I was engrained with the mantra of “getting good grades and scoring high on standardized tests,” so I could go to a reputable college.  My parents, counselors, and I were looking into the University of Minnesota, Minnesota State University, and the University of Wisconsin. I only applied to one private school, Gustavus Adolphus College (MN), and that out of convenience after Admissions sent a free application. I figured it would not hurt to apply.
