Hampshire College Names Miriam 'Mim' Nelson as President to Succeed Jonathan Lash

Hampshire College (MA) has named Miriam E. Nelson, a health and nutrition scholar, scientist, university professor, higher education administrator and government policy adviser, as its seventh president.  Nelson, the director of the Sustainability Institute at the University of New Hampshire, will replace Jonathan Lash, who announced last year he would retire in June. She starts July 1.
