'The Forecast Is Not Pretty;' Mount Ida Closure Example of What's to Come for Small Colleges

Massachusetts has over 100 colleges and universities. But that number may soon dwindle in wake of declining enrollments, according to the state's Board of Higher Education. Declining enrollments at both private and public colleges and universities indicate that many more closures and mergers are likely to happen in Massachusetts.
