Unexplained Turnover at Benedictine U

Two years into Michael S. Brophy’s presidency at Benedictine University (IL), in October, the Board of Trustees said it was reappointing him through 2022. Brophy made it 10 months and six days from the date of that announcement.  Brophy stepped down Friday, surprising higher education leaders in Illinois, where Benedictine’s main campus is located.
