Iowa Wesleyan University Charts a Course for the Future

Founded in 1842, four years before Iowa became a state, Iowa Wesleyan could merge by 2024 with one of the more than 200 other college and universities affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Or it might be bought out by a larger network of colleges. Or by an online university – providing a historic Iowa-based brick-and-mortar campus for a service that previously existed only in the virtual world. Or it might forge new program-sharing relationships with some of Iowa's public community colleges or with various business groups in southeast Iowa.
