Muhlenberg College President Out, Kathleen Harring Named Interim Leader

Muhlenberg College (PA) President John I. Williams Jr., who has led the Allentown college for four years, has resigned and been replaced by Provost Kathleen Harring as interim president, school officials told faculty and staff at a meeting Wednesday afternoon. Harring, who first joined Muhlenberg in 1984 as a professor in the psychology department, has served the college in a number of roles, most recently as a member of senior administrative leadership since 2016, according to a statement from the school. She became provost in 2017.
