Harvard President Decries ‘Uncertainty’ for International Students

Harvard (MA) President Lawrence S. Bacow says the Trump administration’s “increasingly unpredictable and uncertain” process for obtaining student visas and other immigration approvals is posing a risk to the university’s academic enterprise. Harvard today released a letter that Bacow sent to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan expressing his “deep concern over growing uncertainty and anxiety around issuing involving international students and scholars.”
