Mayor Seeks Boston College's Land Through Eminent Domain

The mayor of Newton, Mass., said she would seek to obtain 17 acres of Boston College's land through eminent domain, The Boston Globe reported Thursday. The private nonprofit institution bought the woodlands from a local Jewish congregation in 2016 for $20 million, and Mayor Ruthanne Fuller has been seeking to buy the land from the university, to no avail.
