Private Colleges Urge Michigan Legislators to Reinstate Cut Scholarship Funds

Among Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's nearly $1 billion in vetoed funds are millions of dollars awarded to students of private colleges and universities in Michigan. Now thousands of students have to find a way to make up thousands of dollars in dropped scholarship money. The Michigan Tuition Grant gives up to $2,400 a year to students at Michigan's private colleges.
