Tufts Report on Sackler Giving Offers Cautionary Tale for Dealing With Controversial Donors

Tufts University last month announced it would cut ties to the Sackler family — the owners of Purdue Pharma, which makes the opioid pain medicine OxyContin — and began removing the Sackler name from buildings its members had helped finance across the campus as part of more than $15 million in donations that they and Purdue provided over several decades.
