New President Vows to Prepare Southwest Baptist University for Its 'Greatest Days Ahead'

Richard J. Melson was introduced Friday morning as the 26th president of Southwest Baptist University, a day after the pastor and higher education leader was unanimously elected by the SBU Board of Trustees.  He will start work Sept. 7, succeeding former president Eric Turner, who resigned in late 2020 after just two years.
