'A Project Of Firsts': Berea College Cuts Ribbon On Hydroelectric Generating Plant

Tuesday afternoon, a group gathered at Lock and Dam 12 on the Kentucky River to officially cut the ribbon on Berea College’s hydroelectric generating plant. The $10.2 million project has been named the Matilda Hamilton Fee Hydroelectric Station, after the first “First Lady” and co-founder of Berea College.
