Free Speech for Me, and Thee?

A professor at Princeton University has defended his right to call a Black student group a “small local terrorist organization” since he did so publicly in 2020. Now the professor’s supporters are asking the university to stop denouncing him, characterizing the lasting criticism as “ongoing retaliation.” The university has refused to grant this request. And some see the request itself as hypocritical.
