Responding to Subpoena, Harvard Describes Efforts to Fight Antisemitism

Harvard officials provided more than a thousand pages of documents to a House committee that had subpoenaed the private university to compel it to produce more information about its steps to combat antisemitism on campus, the university said Monday. Among the documents was a four-page overview of the school’s recent efforts, including increasing campus security, providing multiple ways for students to report issues and periodically restricting access to Harvard Yard to limit external disruptions. The university said it also had worked to restrict access and increase moderation of an anonymous social media channel where there had been reports of a rise in antisemitic posts, increased counseling resources and launched a presidential task force focused on campus antisemitism, according to the document shared by the university.
