The Department of Education has posted an updated version of the FY 2017-18 Financial Responsibility Scores for private, nonprofit and proprietary institutions.  The new file recently appeared on the Department’s website with corrected institutional scores but no explanation of the nature of the mistakes that led to the revised figures. 
 
The original file was removed from public view last month after several NAICU members reported unexpectedly low scores that could not be rectified by their internal records or by their auditors. 
 
Presidents are advised to check these new numbers to ensure they roughly align with the scores their institution was predicting.
