ED Sends Accountability Framework to OMB. The Department of Education sent its proposed rule for the “Do No Harm” accountability framework from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Once OMB has finished its review, the Department will finalize its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking and publish it in the Federal Register. At that point, a 30-day comment period will open for interested parties to submit their perspective on the rule.
