Dear Colleagues,

I once again thank the record number of NAICU members who participated in this year’s Annual Meeting and Advocacy Day.

For those interested, the presentation slides used by our speakers throughout the meeting are available on our website. Among the issues covered are civil rights enforcement in the Trump Administration, program-level accountability under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and our government relations overview and advocacy training slides. Whether you attended the meeting or not, the information contained in the slides is sure to be useful for your campus.

If you participated in congressional meetings while in Washington, please share your experience from those meetings by completing our feedback form. This information informs and complements our lobbying efforts—such as our current push to support the introduction of legislation to address federal graduate lending limits.

We are also working to build the membership ranks of the Congressional Independent College Caucus (CICC). Now is an excellent time to follow up with your Representative to invite them to join the Caucus. You’ll find a sample letter, the current Membership roster, and a one-pager about the Caucus on our website.
