Appeal Dropped in DEI Guidance Case. The controversial February 14, 2025 guidance on DEI is officially no more after the Trump Administration dropped its appeal of a judge’s order vacating the guidance. That guidance sowed confusion on college campuses and was followed two weeks later by additional guidance, which clarified some of the issues raised in the initial document and remains in effect.
Pregnancy Bill Stalls in Senate. The Pregnant Students’ Rights Act passed the House but failed this week to advance in the Senate. The bill would have required colleges and universities to disseminate information to prospective and enrolled students on the rights and resources, including accommodations, that are available to allow pregnant students to carry a baby to term.
