Put Students First: Support College Choice

Ensuring that students and families are able to choose -
and afford - the college or university that best suits their individual and educational goals and objectives is a key driver in the advocacy work NAICU undertakes on behalf of its members.  During its 2017 Annual Meeting, NAICU introduced the Put Students First: Support College Choice initiative that will provide tools and resources focusing on:

  • Prioritizing students, and supporting their ability to choose the best-fit college or university.
  • Emphasizing the public purpose and critical role that private, nonprofit colleges and universities play in their communities, regions, and states.
  • Highlighting the independence and mission-driven focus of private, nonprofit colleges and universities.

The first set of resources from the initiative, which NAICU will add to throughout the year, includes policy proposals and infographics that focus on affordability and college completion.
