Life in the Pandemic Era: Implications for Society and Institutions

All Attendees Invited

Drawing on momentous historical epidemics, contemporary analyses, and cutting-edge research from a range of scientific disciplines, Nicholas A. Christakis, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., has explored what it means to live in a time of plague.  In his new book, Apollo’s Arrow, Dr. Christakis offers a riveting account of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic as it swept through society in 2020 and 2021, and how the recovery may unfold in the coming years. Join us for an intimate conversation about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and how he envisions what happens when the great force of a deadly germ meets the enduring reality of our evolved social nature. We will also explore how the social and public health implications of past pandemics gives organizations and individuals a valuable and much-needed window into what the future of work – and life – may look like so they can better plan ahead.
